I remember my first time starting an online business and how hard it was. The worst part being of course attempting to gain rank within the SERPs (Search Engine Ranking Pages). A year passed and though I was still having some trouble I began dominating my niche (category of website). So what happened in that year that separates me from the majority? Well it took a lot of research on why people fail, yet the conclusion seemed so simple. 97% of people that start making money online have the wrong impression of what it takes to make it online. After I did the research I wondered where these impressions could be coming from, and then I turned on the TV and began watching all the crap come on. Spend two hundred dollars and make millions online, buy this system it is the only way to succeed, and do you want to work from home like I do? Well guess what 100% of these commercials you see online are crap. That’s right not 98% or 99%, but a 100% of these commercials are CRAP. I have been in the online game for years and know exactly where the money is and I have never seen a commercial even come close to offering a legit program that would make money. So then for those out there laid off and wanting to work online what can you do?
You can work online. I know there is somewhat a contradiction, but it is definitely possible for you to make it online if you have the heart and tolerance. You have to be willing to spend twelve hours busting your butt for pennies and/or absolutely nothing at all. Millions begin a business online each week and 97% of these people fail. That’s right if you start an online business you have a 3% success rate. Sounds fun doesn’t it, putting in a ton of work for hardly anything. Guess what though that work that you put in running your business will teach you. I found out spending hours on classifieds was an inappropriate way to market a website. Hours down the drain which really brought me down. Did I give up? Of course not, I refused to be that 97% and began researching new ways to succeed online. Later I found out that the time I spent writing articles really helped me in my online endeavors and I actually saw a 7% conversion rate. The hours put into article writing I found that for my niche would separate me from the majority by not only bring in money by themselves, but also pushing me up in the SERPs. So now I sit on the top of my niche and rake in money without any work whatsoever. This was after years of trial and error, but to make it online you must really be willing to fight, there is no competition greater and no success sweeter.
Now for those who would like an overview of where the money is at online here you go. The majority of money comes from selling whether it is a baseball card or an application. This is the hardest market to break into, but will most likely pay the best. The second area of money online is advertising. Either advertisement for other websites or advertising products. Personally this is where I made my money online. I am an expert on website marketing. So when I learned that there was plenty of money to be made online advertising people’s website or products I took advantage and now I make a couple thousand online monthly. If you would like to start making money then build a blog at blogger.com and use the monetize option. Once you begin ranking well in the SERPs the visitors that come to your site and click on the advertisements by google will earn you a commission.
